We have been busy!

Dear Dragon,

The children at Marybank Primary have been so busy getting ready for their Chinese New Year party, that we haven’t had time to put some photographs on the blog.  We took lots of photographs today, so I thought I would help the children by putting some of them here for you to see.

Kung Hei Fat Choy!

Mrs Wells

I see the fast tiger dance,

It is like a panther eating toast.

I hear the firecrackers booming in my ears,

It is like boom”s  going off.

I taste wonderful prawn toast,

It is like magic toast.

I smell sweet lovely oranges,

It is like sour lemons.

I touch the dragons scaly back,

It is like hard sand paper.

I feel happy!

I see the dragon dance,

It is like a lively python.

I hear the parade,

It is very loud.

I taste the noodles,

It is very nice with prawns.

I smell the smoke from the firecracker,

It makes me cough.

I touch the chopsticks,

It is wooden.

I feel excited!

Tom

for the Dragon

I see a Dragon it is very fast  and slow ,he is gold.

I hear the music it is  fast.

I taste the noodles it is warm.

I smell the oranges it is lovely.

I touch the Dragon it is scaly.

I feel sad.

Here is a poem.

I see a red dragon,

It is like a flying bird.

I hear a dancing lion,

It is like a dragon flames.

I taste some chips,

It is like the smell of fish.

I smell noodles,

It is like pasta.

I touch chop sticks,

It is like wood.

I feel good!

Dear children,

It’s Wednesday again!  It came around so quickly, are you sure we didn’t miss a few days out?

This week I have left you something very delicate.  Make sure that whoever goes to collect it is very responsible.  Perhaps you could make some to decorate your classroom.  If you made lots, you could use them for decorations at your party.

Don’t forget about your fortune cookies and send me some photographs.  I like stories and poems about Chinese new year too.  Do you know any?

Crackles and snorts,

The Dragon
